Hi,
My name is LaTonya Richburg-Wilson, I reside in NJ with my husband of 35 years (I'm only 47, do the math, lol) yes, been with hubby since the age of 12. We have three beautiful children and one adorable GrandKing name King.
I started my own business many years ago, did temp jobs every now and again, and JUST started back into fitness and healthy eating in 2011. I started seeing a personal trainer, went from a size 14 to a size 4 in less than two years. Healthy, fit, hard working Mother and Wife.
Then....my life turned upside down....
At the age of 40 I began my yearly mammogram, every year in July....one hot summer day in July 2014, as I showered, I gave myself a breast exam, hmmm, because I do this every so often, It felt different this time, so, I did it again, "hmmm, something don't feel

right" I said to myself. So I panicked, and knowing I have a scheduled exam in a few days, I tried to remain calm, but after the exam I walked out saying "I don't think I'm going to get that standard letter that says your negative, see ya next year". Few days go by and I was right...I was diagnosed in 2014 with IDC/DCIS Stage 2 Breast Cancer, which spread to one lymph node. (short for cancer in the milk ducts).

I had an Lumpectomy with margins removed and one lymph node September and November of 2014, I began Chemo Dec 2014 - April 2015 and Radiation May 2015 for 6.5 weeks M-F. EVERYDAY.
I suffered from depression, I lost my hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, nails turned black, medal taste in my mouth, fatigued, bone pain, neuropathy, insomnia, and thru it all, I continued to work out, maintained my weight but most importantly prayed up and a positive attitude to fight everyday as hard as I could.

Today, as of October 2016 I am now a little over one year cancer free. Although I still suffer from pain and little sleep and medicine for the next 10 years, I continue to fight and spread my testimony to help others. I am still maintaining my health and living life one day at a time to the fullest ....TBGTG (to God be the glory)
